The Maltings Hotel, an original building of Norfolk flint dating to the 16th Century has been in the Mears’ family ownership for over 30 years. It is an ideal centre from which to visit a wealth of tourist attractions, such as Sandringham Estate, Blickling Hall, the Thursford Steam Collection, The North Norfolk Steam Railway and the Muckleburgh Military Collection. It is also a natural rest point for those walking the coastal path.
A number of first class Golf courses are within easy reach with Sheringham (3 Miles), Cromer (8 Miles), Royal Norwich (25 Miles), Brancaster (30 Miles) and Hunstanton (38 Miles) from the Maltings. The Bird Sanctuaries of Cley Marshes and Titchwell are also close by.
We have a variety of room types available all of which are individual and reflect the bygone character of the building and whilst not modern all are comfortably furnished with tea making facilities and colour TV. All rooms are en-suite with either a bath or shower en suite.
The Maltings does not operate a restaurant but we will be pleased to reserve a table for you at The Ship Inn, a short walk away. The Ship has an enviable reputation for food and booking is essential. Or book direct by telephoning 01263 588721.
A full English breakfast is included in the room tariff
The Malting Hotel closes between the 15th December and 28th February each year.
