The Maltings Hotel, an original building of Norfolk flint dating to the 16th Century has been in the Mears’ family ownership for nearly 30 years. It  is an ideal centre from which to visit a wealth of tourist attractions, such as Sandringham Estate, Blickling Hall, the Thursford Steam Collection, The North Norfolk Steam Railway and the Muckleburgh Military Collection. It is also a natural rest point for those walking the coastal path.

A number of first class Golf courses are within easy reach with Sheringham (3 Miles), Cromer (8 Miles), Royal Norwich (25 Miles), Brancaster (30 Miles) and Hunstanton (38 Miles) from the Maltings. The Bird Sanctuaries of Cley Marshes and Titchwell are also close by.

We have a variety of room types available all of which are individual and reflect the bygone character of the  building.  All are comfortably furnished with a colour TV and all come with either a bath or shower en suite.

Our traditional cuisine is  and of high standard with an emphasis placed on fresh and locally sourced food stuffs. Our guests are able to enjoy a wide variety of dishes from our extensive menu in our restaurant or just enjoy snacks and a quiet drink in our cosy bar or lounge.
